The
Georgie Project is collecting x-ray data from a select group of Portuguese
Water Dogs which have been screened and assigned specific ID numbers.
The protocols and procedures below specify the requirements for dogs in
the project. If you are interested in including your dog as a participant
in this important study, please e-mail the Georgie Project at: georgieproject@bioscience.utah.edu

include your dog's name and AKC number!
The Georgie Project collects blood and x-ray samples from each dog. The blood samples provide the necessary genetic data, the x-rays supply phenotypic (anatomical) information. To insure the best quality x-rays possible, we have compiled several forms to assist the owner/breeder as well as the veterinarian. These forms are available to view and/or download.
